Not all photography adventures happen on foot. The road into Crystal Mill is quite rocky and best suited for an off road vehicle. Although I own a Jeep, I opted for the healthier option and brought my mountain bike along. This was my first time biking with my camera gear on my back and I under estimated how difficult it would be. The trail is 9 miles round trip and not exactly easy to begin with. The timing for this photograph was nothing short of spectacular, and we made it to the mill before the sun started setting but the light cast even tones across the valley. As great as it would have been to catch the sunset there, we still had to bike back out before it got dark. Luckily, there is a delicious bbq joint back in the town of marble that serves some delicious bbq and cold beer to look back at the photographs of the day. 10/10 would recommend!
The next morning, we got up early and visited Maroon Bells in Aspen where a moose eagerly greeted us!
