Family Portrait in snow

It was a call from the Ritz Carlton in Vail that got my attention and the request they had for me.  They had a family flying in from Florida and wanted to know if I was available. This would be a first time visit in Vail for the family and also their first time seeing snow.  Now, for those of us who have grown up in or around snow, it’s not something we think about.  But imagine, seeing snow for the very first time!  How awesome is that?

For the Jennings family, this truly would be something special, a vacation that they’d remember forever.  The photos in the snow would be the documentation they needed to show friends and family back home.  Prior to their arrival, we had a chance to chat on the phone.  All the details for the portrait session were discussed and the family was beyond excited.  The Ritz provided a shuttle from the hotel to the location (and they even made sure it snowed the night before, (just kidding!)  But what made this session so exceptional was that his Mom & Dad were able to be part of the excitement making this a three generation portraitI  Watching grown-ups playing in the the snow and throwing snowballs for the first time was a hoot.  The joy of those moments and the time spent together was priceless!
